Your eyes didn't have to be Irish to smile at "St. Patrick's Pond" at 9600! With shamrocks hanging overhead and peeking out from the garden, and even the frog wearing a St. Patty's Day hat, it was a happy sight that said, "Spring is coming!" |
|
Spring has finally sprung! March 20th is the first day of spring, but we're always a step ahead at 9600. Our pond has been transformed into a Spring oasis, complete with pansies, colorful daisies and butterflies "flying" above that say, SPRING IS HERE! |

9600 Celebrates Hanukkah!

In keeping with our annual tradition, 9600 neighbors join together for eight nights to celebrate the Festival of Lights. A different neighbor hosts each night and brings refreshments, making it a special and fun time for all!
|
Fred & Trudy Honigman host the Second Night. Fred recites the blessings as Trudy and neighbors follow along.
|
The Second Night of Hanukkah saw the first snowfall of the season! All the more reason to stay inside and gather with friends and celebrate! (Psst..... is that a plump sufganiyah in the bottom right corner there?!) |
|
The Third Night was, in a word, "yummy". Manager Sharon Ianoale and secretary Cristie Ricciotti hosted the evening with goodies, wine and latkes. |
Paul Schwab, our "resident Rabbi", led the Third Night in his always-graceful fashion. |
Bill Silverman, Rita Greco, Laura Ravitch, Cristie Ricciotti. |

 Labor Day Beach Barbecue
|
~Our first-annual Labor Day Beach Barbecue was an incredible success! Families and friends gathered on the beach and enjoyed an array of complimentary home-made foods, scrumptious cakes, snacks and beverages, in addition to bringing their own food to cook up on the two large grills provided. And with music, volleyball and horseshoes to entertain, it was truly a day to remember!
Movie Night will continue through the fall and winter one evening each month. Check back for updates or watch our in-house bulletin board on Channel 78 when you’re back at 9600. |
